Do I need to book an appointment?
Yes please! Although we are open Tuesday-Saturday, we like to make sure that we are ready and able to accommodate you so it is best to book in. Our evenings and Saturdays get booked up quickly so try to make your appointment in advance if possible. To find out more about your appointment, click here.
When do I need to order?
Lead times vary with different designers, but we usually recommend ordering at least 6 months in advance. You may find the dress of your dreams 2 years before the wedding- in which case go for it! If you find yourself with only a few months to plan your day and buy your dress – don’t panic, usually our designers can accommodate tighter deadlines if necessary. Alternatively you could always choose a dress from our sample sale that you can walk away with!
How long will my appointment last?

It’s my first appointment and I’m nervous… help!
Don’t panic! We are here to gently guide you through the different styles and find the perfect dress for you so there is no need to feel worried. Some brides have been dreaming about this moment for a long time, and come brimming with excitement, armed with a book full of magazine clippings. Some of us have palpitations at the thought of stepping one foot into a bridal boutique, are convinced that we will look horrendous in everything- we guarantee you, you won’t. This is your time to enjoy yourself so don’t take your first appointment too seriously, (we don’t bite!) Try to come with an open mind and you’ll most likely find that you are pleasantly surprised by your experience, we hope you will actually enjoy it! I don’t want a typical wedding dress, can you make my dress unique?
You’ve come to the right place! We are always brimming with ideas, and our seamstresses are wonderful, talented ladies, who will make the dress your very own. Adding straps, or sparkle? Shortening the gown or taking off the belt? We can do these adjustments and more, just ask!
What sizes are your samples?
Our samples range from size 10 to size 22, Whilst most of our samples are around a size 12 or 14, we are able to give you a great idea of how the dress will look even if your number is a little higher or lower than this!
Do I need to bring anything?
If you already have some ideas of what you might like, then of course feel free to bring along some images/show us your Pinterest board! If you have some, nude seamless underwear works best under the dresses, and depending on the styles you like a strapless bra could also be handy. We have plenty of shoes for you to try at your appointment. We can arrange a styling appointment once your dress has arrived to try on jewellery, veils and any other accessories.
Will my dress need alterations?
Our selection of dresses are made to order, not made to measure. When we measure you for your gown we will discuss the size you wish to order. Once your dress arrives you will book in with the seamstress approximately 2 months before your big day. At this point you will discuss what alterations you require and receive an initial quote. Typically the length and bust will require alterations.
How many people should I bring with me?
We have seating for up to three guests, and have found that bringing 1-3 people with you whose advice you value always makes for a constructive appointment. Too many opinions flying around can make you feel harassed and confused! You can always show your other friends, family or future in-laws once you have narrowed your choice. We are a very welcoming bunch though, so if you have any special requests then just drop us an email and we will do our best to accommodate.
